Wood+Partners provided master planning services for redevelopment of Big Whale Cay, located in the Berry Islands in the Bahama Islands. The island boasts a colorful history. Once a privately owned 850-acre island, with lush, ecologically unspoiled land, high elevations and white sand beaches, Whale Cay has over 14 miles of waterfront surrounded by coral reefs and deep water. With its beautiful natural features, combined with established road infrastructure and an airstrip, Big Whale Cay is said to be the “Jewel of the Bahamas.”
